Tuna Melt

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

2 Tbsp: Parsley, Flat Leaf Parsley

25 g: Olive, Pitted Black Olives (Jarred)

50 g: Butter, Salted

400 g: Tuna, Tinned Tuna (in Water)

100 g: Cheese, Cheddar Cheese

1 Whole: Onion, Brown Onion

1 Whole: Pepper, Green Pepper (Bell)

2 Whole: Garlic, Garlic Clove (Fresh)

1 Whole: Bread, Baguette (White)

4 Tbsp: Mayonnaise, Mayonnaise

Method

Halve the baguette then slice across middle to create 4 half-torpedo shaped pieces of bread.

Mix the butter with the crushed garlic and chopped parsley, then spread along the length of each slice of bread.

sprinkle the chopped onions olives and peppers over the bread then mix the tuna with the mayonnaise and grated cheese and spoon on top of the peppers and onions.

finally place in the centre of a pre heated (180C / 350F / Gas mark 4) oven and cook for 20 minutes or until golden on top.
