A classic full English breakfast for 4 people, with eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. Perfect for a relaxed weekend breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Main Ingredients
  • 8 Whole:Fresh Cumberland Sausages
  • 8 Rasher:Back Bacon
  • 8 Whole:Free Range Egg
  • 400 g:Baked Beans (Tinned), (1 x 400g tin)
  • 250 g:Fresh Mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 Whole:Fresh Tomato, halved
  • 4 Slice:Wholemeal Bread Slice
  • 1 Tbsp:Olive Oil
  • 2 Tsp:Salted Butter
  • Seasoning
  • 1 Tsp:Ground Black Pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan). Place the sausages on a baking tray and cook according to the packet instructions, usually around 20–25 minutes, turning halfway. Add the bacon for the final 10–15 minutes, depending on thickness.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan. Cook the mushrooms for 5–7 minutes until softened and golden. Add the halved tomatoes, cut-side down, and cook for 3–5 minutes until softened.

  3. Pour the beans into a saucepan and heat gently for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until piping hot.

  4. Fry the eggs in a non-stick pan until the whites are fully set and the yolks are cooked to your preference. For a safer option, cook until both the white and yolk are firm, particularly when serving young children or anyone vulnerable to foodborne illness.

  5. Toast the bread just before serving. Divide the sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes between four plates, with toast on the side. Add black pepper to taste.
